About me
Dr. Linda Welsh is exploring where to put her energies in this next phase of her life. The preciousness of our connection to nature to heal and transform and the urgency to find ways for all to experience this connection is driving her exploration. While on the board of directors of Child Inc., Austin's Head Start agency, Linda helped establish OLÉ play environments at two Austin Child Inc centers with a goal to transform all of the outdoor environments in the agency. Linda has served as a faculty member and department chair in Child Development at Austin Community College, as the dean for doctoral students at National American University, and as the first Early Childhood Coordinator for the City of Austin. Dr. Welsh has a PhD in Educational Administration with a concentration in Community College Leadership; a MA in Child Development and Family Relations from the University of Texas at Austin; and a BS in Elementary Education and Education of the Hearing Impaired from the University of Illinois.
