About me
Janine Garcia, a former classroom teacher and park ranger with the National Park Service, has over a decade of experience in both formal and informal education. With a B.S. in Psychology specializing in Family and Child Development, a B.S. in Environmental Science and Ecology, and a M.Ed. in Elementary Education, Janine has inspired thousands of children to become lifelong learners and develop a deep appreciation for our precious natural resources. She now combines her expertise as an educator with her background in environmental science in her current role as an Education Coordinator at the San Antonio River Authority. It is here that Janine endeavors every day to inform and inspire people of all ages to keep the San Antonio River safe, clean, and enjoyable.
