About me
Alexis Cordova is an Early Childhood Project Specialist for Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service’s Promoting Early Education Quality Program. She has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Family and Child Development from Texas State University. Over her 20-year career working with Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service, she served as a county-based Extension Agent working with children, families, caregivers, and communities. She is now a statewide specialist providing leadership to our new statewide recognition program for Early Childhood Education Programs that implement best practices to help improve young children’s health and prevent childhood obesity. She strives to strengthen healthy relationships to maximize the talents of individuals to build strong leaders, families, and communities. She is a servant leader at heart and values positive transformation through building a sense of community through a participatory process and thinking outside the box.
