About me
Alicia serves as the Health and Nature Liaison in the Gulf Coast Region for Texas Children in Nature Network. As a native Houstonian, she takes pride in her city’s cultural diversity and growing environmental awareness. With a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry from Texas Southern University, her interest in sustainable solutions led her to explore the relationship between human health and exposure to environmental chemicals. Driven by her passion for environmental justice and community-based research, Alicia pursued a Master's in Public Health at Baylor University with a focus on Environmental Health Science. During her academic journey, she had the opportunity to collaborate with various organizations and agencies, such as the CDC, EPA, WHO, and UNDRR.
