About me
Deb Tamez is the owner/director of The Eagle's Nest Play to Learn Center in Mildred, TX. She built this early learning center from the ground up in 2019 and opened her doors to this nature and play based program in the fall of 2020. As of March 2021, The Eagle’s Nest is a certified Nature Explore Classroom with 22 students enrolled. Deb earned her teaching degree from TX A&M Commerce in 2009 and has been an Early Childhood Educator for 12 years. She volunteers with the Navarro County Early Childhood Coalition and plays an active role in her rural community. Prior to opening her early learning center, she was the Digital Learning Coach for Corsicana ISD where she developed and facilitated training of staff and administrators in implementing technology applications in the classroom as well as for virtual learning. Deb has a creative digital background as well. She was a Visual Merchandising Manager for Blockbuster Video Corporate, managing the Latino and African American Markets for retail film before returning to college to pursue her degree in Education.
